“We have a purpose in life” – T D Jakes
As you may know, Celeste Williams wrote as follows to us:
“I really don’t know what my purpose is, never mind the purpose of life; sometimes I just feel like I am on autopilot because there are many aspects of my life that I don’t even know what I truly want, like my career, for instance. So I just go through life not really knowing but ensuring that I at least laugh and smile 😃
…but deep down I truly feel the purpose of life is about giving all we can to one another, no matter what it is that we are sharing.”
The last sentence of Celeste gives direction to her first paragraph. George Bernard's conviction was:
“I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live…”
Take note of the link between what Celeste wrote and George Bernard's statement. The link is on “giving all we can to one another” from Celeste. George said, “my life belongs to the whole community”.
What Celeste needs to do, though, is to find passion because if you read her first paragraph, you will see that words like, “I am on autopilot because there are many aspects of my life that I don’t even know what I truly want” clearly show that passion is missing. I sent the video of T D Jakes, and if you listen to it carefully, you will note that the world we live in keeps us busy all the time, so we don’t take the opportunity to think about this question - what is the purpose of life?
The Mission Statement of Wowos Club reads, “To entertain, advise, teach, and grow together. To be the best we can be in everything we do!”. This mission was created by our President Ditaba Moeketsi (Best Newcomer – Wowo’s 2nd Year Awards – 2003). This week, Celeste Williams, a Newcomer in 2022, 19 years later, reminds us that we must “give all we can to one another”.
